Football League Championship
Football
Originally called the Football League First Division, the Football League Championship was created for the 2004-2005 seasons. The first championship season played in 2005 had an attendance of 9.8 million people, which placed the League fourth in the World for attendance behind the FA Premier League, Spain's Primera division, and Germany's Bundesliga league. A large factor in its success is television revenue, which is enhanced by having 24 clubs involved in the league instead of the 20 clubs as some other divisions such as France's Ligue 1 and Italy's Series A. | Season | Winners | Winning Points Total | Won by (Points) | Player of the Year | Manager of the Year |
