League Cup
Football
Like the FA Cup, the League Cup is a single elimination or knock-out tournament. The League Cup is played by only 92 clubs, including the 20 clubs of the FA Premier League and the 72 Clubs of The Football League. Since 1982, the League Cup has been named after its sponsor, the first being the Milk Cup after its sponsor, the Milk Marketing Board. Since the 2003-2004 seasons, the League Cup has been called the Carling Cup after the Carling brewing company. | Year | Winners | Runers Up |
